Ready, set...
So, a new year. Usually that means a whole hell of a lot of fresh starts with your life. Well, that is definitely the case here too. First off, I just signed a killer deal with a great company called North Star Media. You can read all about it on the news page. I'm very excited about it. Second, I also decided to stop playing shows for a bit. Sometimes in life you have to re-evaluate how you've been doing things, and realize if they are working for you or not. Well, as much as I love playing shows, they weren't helping me to move forward with music. So I did a lot of soul searching last year and finally came to a conclusion about how to veer left a little bit as it were. I am in love with song writing. It has always been my passion. To create something from nothing and in the process, make people get something out of what they are listening to. So I have been building my home studio for a while and just completed it in January. I have been writing a TON of songs and recorded a few already. My good friends Anthony Resta and Karyadi Sutedja are going to helping me to record some killer songs to license to my new company North Star Media. Maybe you'll hear one in a commercial, maybe a TV show. It all remains to be seen. But that's the beauty. It's a new start and something fresh for me. To only have to concentrate on writing gives me a whole new mindset. I am writing so many different kinds of songs right now that it all feels so new. I haven't felt that in a while. Some big careers are made from song writing and licensing. I look forward to that.
Now will I play shows again? Of course I will. But for now the song writing process and recording without a deadline is giving me new hope. Sometimes the old has to wither and die in order for the new path to come to life. Well it has.

Fall, Posters, Demos and Stuff
Wow, check it out. It's Autumn in New England! Love this time of year. Feeling inspired. Fall for me has always been a time of change, new hope, cutting my hair off (yes, I look like a tennis ball), among other things. The scenery on the east coast is amazing right now. I have to admit, I love the west coast, but moving away from the seasons doesn't interest me. I'd miss the seasons too much!
Anyway, you've probably all noticed that my My Space page has been, as they say, pimped out :) A great company called Nimbit worked on my page and it came out kick ass. The My Space page has been getting a ton of hits and the "Lights" EP is selling like crazy! Thanks to all of you who are buying it off of iTunes and from the website.
I am finally finishing up my home studio and working on some new demos. I might post one or 2 down the line, but for right now, there is a lot of writing going on. I also have a very cool somethin somethin in the works that I can't share right now, but hopefully things will go through in the next couple of weeks or so. You'll all certainly know when anything happens.
So next Saturday, October 18, the boys and I will back @ The Lizard Lounge in Cambridge Ma for another sold out show. This will be the last show with the lineup of bands we've had since the beginning of the year. The Mike Hallal Band, Tommy Dempsey and Smug and myself. It's been a blast playing with these awesome bands! I'm sure we'll do it again sometime in the future. Those of you who have noticed, we have had some great posters made up for all the shows we've done this year. My good friend, and Mike Hallal Band guitarist, Chris, has been the one putting these designs together. If you haven't seen them, got to my My Space page and check out the pics section. The poster for next week will be on there over the next day or so.
So that's about it for now folks. As always, thank you for all your support!!!!

Inspiration
Sometimes the weeks seem to be never-ending, right? I had one of those this past week. Sometimes we want to be out of a given situation so bad that we don't really look at it as a source of inspiration. A sign of sorts. Learning from situations is the key to moving forward. You can concentrate on the aspects of things you don't like, and feed them more bad energy, or you can take it and turn it around for yourself and learn from it. Try it. You'll surprise yourself when you can take what you think is a bad situation, even if it is, and think of it as a new start. Inspiration comes from everywhere. It's all around us everyday. Take some time and quiet yourself and listen.
Thank you to all of you, my friends, for your continued support....

Here We Go!
So, I'm sitting here thinking to myself how excited I am about starting to play these shows to support "Lights". BTW, THANK YOU to everyone who has bought the EP on iTunes, and through My Space and the website!!! I am so appreciative of all your support. Remember, you can get an autographed copy of "Lights" if you order through the website.
Anyway, tomorrow night is the first show of many this year! My last show was in September, so I'm CRAZY EXCITED about getting out there to see you all! We're doing one show a month @ The Lizard Lounge in Cambridge Ma starting tomorrow, and also the same @ Milly's Tavern in Manchester NH starting next month. Both of these clubs have been so good to me that it was a no brainer to start the touring in support of "Lights" at these very cool venues.
There's a lot of exciting things happening lately. A few weeks back, "Pushover" was played on "The Real World" Hollywood" on MTV, which was awesome, and the response through My Space, iTunes and MTV has been great. Check out MTV.com for the clip on Episode 3 of the show. Also, I'm psyched because I'm about to sign with a great booking agency, PM Events And Productions. Pete over @ PM will be booking some big shows for me this year and in a lot of venues I've never been, so keep checkin the website for tour updates.
One last thing. I'm a sucker for American Idol. If you say you don't watch it, you're lying. Good job David Cook.
